Just found this while looking for a 10/22 Sporter. Back a few months ago when I was looking at the takedown rifles there were a couple of folks looking for one of these.

I am not currently in the market for this particular gun, so I hope this post will help someone else who might be. If you find a 10/22-DSP (Model 1102) that you do not want to buy for yourself, let me know!

I have never understood why the manufacturers camo a gun but leave the barrel in stainless. Why not dust the stainless barrell and have a fully camo'd gun?

I bought this gun a few weeks ago with a black synthetic stock. I like it, but the stock is useless with a scope on the gun. I'm looking for a telescoping stock with an adjustable cheek rest. I don't think anybody's made one for the takedown yet. Has anybody seen one?

I agree with ya on the barrel.
I have the black takedown, would love the camo one too.
( I'd hit that shinny sucker with some flack OD or BLACK straight out of the box )

Concur. I hate the standard sights, so I put a scope on it. This improved my accuracy but made the ergonomics a freaking nightmare.

My plan is to buy a nice wood stock for it and (in short) cut the stock in half. I'm sure it will require more than that, but I really wanted a wooden takedown all along. Now I have two reasons: A) want, B) get a comb that actually fits.

I anticipate starting this soon and I shall post as I go. Anybody have a battered or ugly wood stock kicking around they'd let go cheap? No way I want to start on something pretty...
