Renew or Apply?

Both my Florida and virginia permits are due for renewal. Should I renew with these states as a non resident or apply for the MD permit and hope for the best?

Keep in mind even if you get an MD one, MD does not have reciprocity agreements (although some states will honor Maryland's permit).

With MD you'll get:

Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Wisconsin

With FL Non Res:

Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wyoming

and VA non-res

renew...MD may take a while...they you would be SOL for the time you are waiting on the MD one..

If you never leave MD, then i guess you don't need the FL or UT one.
