Edgewater Giant. CDC Lysol gone, larger bleach bottles gone and paper towels on the empty shelves. Employees say NO word on virus from managers. Home Depot had no respirators, Annapolis West. Oh, Parents just returned from BJs, everything seemed normal to them.

Went to Costco on lunch break to get gas and paper products. Other than a guy in a Mazda 3 filling up multiple 5 gallon tanks to put in his trunk. Nothing looked out of the ordinary.

I know I'm preaching to the choir, but if you guys need food stuff, you better be getting it now. Once you start seeing shortages it will be tough to get what you want. Look how it is with a quarter inch of snow.

Things could change to with tonight's speech by Mr Trump. If he says stock up for awhile, things might get a little scarce.

And you wonder why you can’t find any masks? So more than $10ea for the GOVERNMENT or $22 for a 10 pack at HD. Like the $100 hammer or $500 toilet seat?

Was at Costco (Arundel Mills) about an hour ago. Normally stocked shelves of everything there. Lots of Chinese in there wandering around though... probably from the Casino close by.

I bought a 50 pound bag of rice just for the hell of it, and some more Vitamins and other crap (after reading BobA’s recent post of his score of 100 pounds of it). :D

We gots lot of food at home that is nonperishable anyway and just me, the wife and the cat. Will eat the cat if necessary but will shoot squirrels outta the trees first. Maybe eat the neighbors cat before my cat. At least I have choices. :innocent0

When the CDC states prepare, what do they mean. The flu kills thousands of people in this country every year.

The Secretary of Health and Human Services is a useless fool. Was watching a short video of him ago here at the AL and he stated to prepare for the worst. Of course he doesn’t say what to do to prepare. Normal governmental guidance from those whom are inventing the wheel as they go.

Lots of folks here hacking away at the AL. I probably should distance myself from them. They already yell when they talk at the canteen.... ;)

How long are the N95 masks good for anyone know? Rinse with bleach after you have to run out? At least I haven’t read/heard anything about this virus causing the runs. Better get some pedialyte powder packets or Gatorade to restore electrolytes.

SanFran is calling citywide emergency for Coronavirus but not for the tons of human feces in the streets from their illegals.

SF and LA should be more concerned about a pandemic of cholera, typhus, dysentery, typhoid fever and bubonic plague.

Where's the concern about the Southern border with the illegals bringing back all the illness and diseases that had previously been eradicated in the US. TB, Measles, Chicken Pox and Polio are making come backs.

And we also have the Anti-vaxxers and their stupidity contributing to our human bonfire.

This would be useless. They advertise being in the 385-405nm, UV-A spectrum. This is essentially a blacklight to make things glow/fluoresce.
UV-C is what disrupts DNA and it peaks at 254nm (working best between ~225nm and 275nm)
Adding UV-C to your HVAC's supply ducts could be beneficial, but is very dependent on the fluence (UV "dose")

I've been radiating my basement with UV C for almost 2 decades. Got rid of the mold. Even cleared up my cat's allergies

Their economy is getting pummeled harder by this. Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity (or incompetence).
