Thank you, I did do an internal rebuild on the slide basically. Lower showed up today along with most of the slide parts, only took me about an hour to finish it all. It’s a basic beater and I’m sure it will get abused.

I’m fairly certain it will be good to go. I’ll at least give it a shot. Still need an LPK and slide for it.

My range report.

A quick trip to Continental after work.
Fired American Eagle 124gr FMJ, REM 115gr ,Winchester Train 147fmj. Blazer 115gr and Winchester 115gr.

First was AE 124gr FMJ. Only 20 rounds. All ok.
Then win.Train 147gr. 10 rounds all ok.
After that it was the rest of the 115gr FMJ.
I lost track of which one did what, but the Remington was the worst. FTF, FTE and 2 LPS.
Accuracy was great.
I think it's weak ammo plus a 18lb recoil spring.
Total round count <100

Was it Remington "UMC"? That stuff is kinda trashy. Not surprised it would have functionality problems.

It appears it was the 50round "UMC" green and white box. Bought at DSG awhile back. Ran fine in other 9mm's I have. It is dirty.

It appears it was the 50round "UMC" green and white box. Bought at DSG awhile back. Ran fine in other 9mm's I have. It is dirty.

Such has been my experience with marginal ammo in general. I am a lot more picky these days and generally only buy hotter stuff.

My Fauxland Special isn't done yet, but it can now shoot, so that's something worth posting. Thinking I'll put a Holosun HS507C and a TBRCi Micro comp on it to finish things up.
