Of course he was. You don't think the law abiding people are going to go out and commit crimes in his place so we can have the politicians calling for even more restrictions do you?:sad20:

No shocker here from a state that routinely drop the firearm charges, give a pass on the drugs and allow the inmates to control the prisons, hell they had to change the test to hire more local people toward the Baltimore area so shouldn't be no shocker when the female guards are knocked up by the inmates.

in southern md not that long ago if a person got arrested for drugs you didnt see them for so long that you wouldnt recognise them when they got out of jail. somehow in the last ten or fifteen years that has changed and they are almost always released on there own recognesence the same day they are arrested. its unbelieveable to me that this is how things now turn out.

This is what people don't understand in this state. The General Assembly that makes the laws in this state is largely run by defense attorneys who, after you take away the thousand dollar suits and fancy haircuts, are little different than the scum they represent and advocate for. I don't mean that just in a moral sense either. I mean they literally think like, act like, and in some cases socialize extensively with, the turds they defend when no one is looking. They are not on your side if you are a law-abiding taxpaying citizen. I'm not saying that's all defense attorneys, but it is a description that largely fits many of the ones in Annapolis.

This happens a lot more than people realize. I have arrested multiple people that were out on bail or ROR for crimes of violence or CDS distrubution.

Most politicians are on their own side and will screw whoever the need to to get what they want.:mad54:

Is there a way to track the number of arrests for a firearm charge compared to the number of prosecutions and the number of arrests vs a reduced charge/drop?

I'd love to start holding the prosecutors offices feet to the fire - but need the data

The love me koombaya experiment from the 60's clowns has gone horribly wrong. Time for them to put their big girl panties on and admit it. Move on.

We must go back to making jail a place that instills fear. I don't mean torture, but hard labor, work, and more work. Get rid of the frills, rehab, law degrees, etc.
Get their asses out there doing the rap that illegals do, and get rid of illegals.
At this point, it is the only way to take back our lives.

...but if a white-collar professional with plenty of money in the bank was stopped on the way home from the range with a cased handgun in the trunk, but with one round stuck in the chamber, you can bet he'd be facing the full wrath (and expense) of the racketeering operation known as our "legal system".

There have been a number of politicians who said they were for emptying the hard criminals out of prisons to make room for gun ban violators. :mad54:

Brian Frosh is a perfect example of that mindset. Whines, whimpers, and lisps his way through lengthy nauseating diatribes in opposition to Jessica's Law and sex offender registration, but is vehemently for registering and fingerprinting law-abiding gun owners.

*cough* enforcement before passing more laws *cough*

Seriously, this is ridiculous. Also of interest is that the banner at the top of the window described the standoff as "ending peacefully". Da'fuq? They fired tear gas and had to go in in force to get him to come out. And that's peaceful?

    Good lord.
