Yep. They could solve this with education and opportunity for the poor. However, if they educate the majority of their voters, they might not be in power any longer. What they did to address the education system in PG County this past session is just criminal. From what I read, the only thing they did was appoint a CEO to oversee the PG County education system. I think they need a lot more than that.

I truly believe the liberal culture is to keep everybody married to big government (i.e., socialism) where people cannot possibly fend for themselves. Problem is when the government can no longer provide for the masses.
    Winner, winner, chicken dinner.

They only hope they can kick the can down the road until they are out of office, or have died.

I absolutely, positively DO NOT respect any power hungry thug, or no information voter that thinks "guns in the hands of the People" is a bad idea. Screw them. Like all idiots, they are entitled to their opinion, BUT whatever they think, for whatever reason, has nothing to do with MY rights. Hey, don't like guns, don't buy one, but sure as hell don't try to force me to operate my life under your misconception.

Before obtaining a pet having a child, a person should have to apply for a permit and prove they have the financial means to take care of said pet child. If they are receiving any type of welfare, they should not be allowed to have a pet child. I know several people on welfare that have more than one dog child. Something is seriously wrong with this picture. If people in the legislature cannot understand this, they are retarded. Never mind, I already know that they are retarded.

Wouldn't that be great? However, the above will never happen, so things will continue to get worse. Too many people depend on .gov and .gov is happy to make things easy for them while they keep churning out the libtards of tomorrow.

I mean we all know that crap at the federal level isnt finished yet. They will keep trying to pound it through with whatever bribes it will take. The only problem-The money just isnt there at the moment to make the big bribes, not like when they could just offer some senator that post office they been pushing for. Who was that guy handing out checks from tobacco companies on the floor of congress years ago? They really are scum that our nation of idiots keeps voting in. Wasting a vote means your voted D or R. To bad it takes millions to see that picture since its clear as day.

The govt does things for long term, and what theyre up to beats me but youre right, when they cant feed the freeloaders the crime will rise. Maybe thats why they bought all those street tanks....

And they don't mind (in fact rather enjoy) putting people in jail to do it. It doesn't matter how many families they destroy or how many criminals they create out of law abiding people. The sheer arrogance that they know what is best regardless of the facts is very disturbing.

That's what keeps Frosh and co. In business when they aren't trampling on the constitution.

History has shown that revolution can be a healthy thing for a country. Maybe it's time.

Is the ammo and reloading components shortage really just a shortage due to people buying everything up or are there other things at work here? Are issues like the MSP wait times for restricted firearms just being caused by the MSP being flooded by applications or is the backlog being extended with a purpose?

I don't know the answers to these questions but it sure makes you wonder.

I'm really sick thinking about how our fathers, grandfathers and uncles died fighting in wars for our freedom and constitution and these political pukes in Annapolis and Washington just spit on their graves.

It is a hoot watching owemalley do his utter best to brown nose and copy his leader Marxist hussein, and then watching Marxist hussein do his best to stay clear of him now. That damn fool owemalley is still beating that dead horse gun control issue that made me look like an idiot and made me throw a temper tantrum on national TV run mooochelle run...hahaha.

Also, Michelle Obama was in Bowie today, and Obama was in Baltimore. This was not a "scheduling issue" - this is a deliberate avoidance of the signing.

I think that despite their loss at the national level, the gun control side won more than our side did in the last few months. They danced in some blood to do it, and may well have pushed it too far. At the end of the federal push, they basically screamed "Newtown" about every 30 seconds. They brought in all the blood dancers. It looked like they were enjoying the carnage and it was quite distasteful. It didn't work. They oversold and they lost it.

I can respect someone who feels guns in the hands of people is a bad social idea. I can respect someone who says that the Second Amendment was a bad experiment and it is time to end it. I can respect people who honestly disagree.

I can agree with your last statement, but the first personhood doesn't deserve respect. Theirs is based on 'feelings', Laws based on feelings are exactly how horrible events like Newtown are exploited as you note below. The second personhood, who knows nothing of history or rights, doesn't deserve my respect either. If it did need change, how could an 'experiment' in government have lasted for almost 250 years without being threatened by 27 words ?

What unnerves me about the people at the top of the gun control hierarchy is the abject joy they feel when they get a 'crisis' they can use to push an outcome that they cannot achieve using argument alone. The time around it was so blatant that we were not alone in noting it. They don't want to stop violence; they want to stop us. It's cultural. They have to stamp out cultures they don't understand or like. The dead victims of Chicago be damned.

This is why you can't separate the pragmatic from the philosophical. In the world of big gov'mnt and control, they go hand in hand. You're right, it's cultural.

And they don't mind (in fact rather enjoy) putting people in jail to do it. It doesn't matter how many families they destroy or how many criminals they create out of law abiding people. The sheer arrogance that they know what is best regardless of the facts is very disturbing.

Correcto-mundo ... If you can't beat 'em, make them criminals. For more detail, refer above.

Say goodbye to any dreams of workin' in The White House Martin!
Why did he sign this thing? I thought it was a done deal even without his signature...

Because he probably wants his name to be forever attached to a "public safety" act. When it's really about control. A proudness that he won. He beat the gun owners no matter what anyone thought, he got his way. I could hear him say, "Obama couldn't do it but I sure as hell did!"

1/2 gallon BEER to go please

And what does this say to those who say all of the BS is for public safety? Why in the hell would anyone need a half gallon beer mug, much less to go home? I hope the MSP will be inspecting the drivers leaving such establishments, since they don't have time to process our gun applications.

    FUMOM!
