    Hi,

Just picked this up from Amazon, Cold Steel Recon I.

Its a large knife, at a full 4" blade, and pretty heavy compared to other folders I have had. As you would expect, it is extremely sharp.

The knife handle is a form of plastic called G-10. Its a light, strong handle.

All in all I'm very pleased with it, although still getting used to the size of this thing.

that is very nice. this line of knives are nicely priced. Japanese steel, eh?

Its made in Taiwan, so says the blade.

Been using it for a few days, simple stuff like cutting ropes, boxes, etc. Its nice and cuts well, but the black teflon finish is not going to very durable. However, the lock is the strongest I have seen and if it holds an edge I will have it for a long time.

Cold Steel could command much more for their products if they wanted to. I'm pleased to see that they still keep their prices within reason.

Nice Knife! I love G10 as a knife scale material. I have both a Kershaw and Spyderco with G10, and it is now a feature I require for my future folders.

    Edit for spelling
