Need gun cleaner that doesnt smell or is organic

froglube or SLIP2000

Slip2000 here. I love the smell of hopes but something in it makes my hands tingle. Tried froglube a few times and was not impressed at all.

Nope, Mobile 1, which is promoted heavily on MDS, is not petro based, fully synthetic.

Mobile 1 is "Synthetic Base Stocks and Additives". A synthetic base stock means it (the base oil) was built up from other chemicals, which also happen to be petrochemicals.

They do this because they can selectively choose the carbon chains present in the oil. Directly refined oil is much less selective.

The only motor oils not made from petrochemicals are those refined from vegetable and other plant oils. I suppose you can make it from whale oil too, but that's frowned up these days.

Ok so My wife has supper nose and wont let me clean my guns at the house as she says the smell of the hops cleaner makes her sick.

Does anyone have a recommendation for something that doesn't smell? or is organic?

Buy one of the expensive ultrasonic gun cleaners. I do not this they smell.
