Very nice. One of those is on my need-to-get list prior to October 1...assuming I get a job in time. Entry level SAP/SQL Admin positions are hard to come by atm. :)

Congrats! My 20 round S.A. magazines came in two days ago... its a shame I'll have to wait another 2 months for my SOCOM 16 to clear :\ Lucky you get to shoot yours this weekend!

I'll own one of these before the end of the summer if I can stop spending money on my car and a truck. Someone should get ahold of Springfield and try and get a MD preban group buy going or something.

I think they are paying attention at least. They shipped my 4 20 round mags in about 4-5 days after placing the order. I know these have been back ordered with some of the larger online retailers.

Did anyone who owns one with a wood stock put some kind of a topcoat on it? Like a varnish or shellac?

Picked up my standard w/walnut stock this morning. If I do anything to the stock I would just oil it like my garand stocks

What did they do on military issue m-14's? That's what I want to do with mine when I get it.

If you don't mind, what optic mounts did you use? And did you like them? And just for fun: what is your optics setup?

    She looks great!

I use Boiled Linseed Oil on my Walnut M1A Stock as well as other Milsurp Weapons. Two coats Works nicely .Wipe on one coat let stand 1-2 hours wipe off any excess ...wait overnight , Repeat for second coat, works well for Me!
