MSI @ South County Festival (AACo), 6/15

MSI Will be hosting a booth at the South County Festival on Saturday, June 15, beginning at 11AM (setup is at 1030)

We are looking for MSI Executive, Sustaining, and General members to help man the booth, and all are welcomed to drop by and meet the team.

MSI Executive Members will be available to answer your questions regarding any Maryland 2A issues that concern you.

Please respond here if you can help out. We are splitting the day into two shifts: 1030-1430, and 1430 to close

This way you can still take time to enjoy the festival, while still helping the cause.

Please respond back here if you're interested in helping. No worries if you're not familiar with it, there will be experienced EMs on hand to guide you through.

Looks to be a good event, and I'd hate to see someone miss out on a chance to help 2A in MD, all while having a good day at the festival!!

We've learned that we have a continual need to get the word out...

This is everyone's fight right now. Not just a few people, and not just during the GA session!

Not to mention, it's a great way to get to know some more of the MSI folk, put some faces to names, and feel productive while enjoying what should be a really nice day.

I can't believe we're having problems staffing this event. We should be beating people off with sticks.

Come on people, this is Senator Mike Miller's district, yes the President of the Senate, the one who personally shepherded SB 281 through the Senate, the same one who called for a re-do vote when an amendment to crack down on violent felons who used a gun in the commission of a crime went "the wrong way", the same Mike Miller who has Beretta in his district.

He has a partially rural district. Not everyone would support his views. But not everyone knows about what he did - to them. This is our chance to tell them.

Why aren't people climbing all over themselves to educate his constituents in his own back yard?

We are all needed to stand up. They will no longer listen to just a few designated people--we all have to do more.

I'm sure MSP and the GA are laughing outwardly at this right now.

Based on staffing the Bowiefest event, people have a tendency to sign up in the last two days once their schedules become clearer.

It kind freaked me out when it went so late to fill the shifts.

This is a seriously important show, and a very significant place to make an impact as noted above.

If you are on the fence commit! (I don't want to half to buy ulcer meds for the organizers!)

I find it sad that we can't EASILY get people to cover these types of events.

To all those out there reading this: Take a few hours out of your schedule and help us further our rights here in MD! It is not an easy task and having the same people carry our torch will eventually burn them out.

For those wavering, the one I went to in Towsontown was a good way to reach out to the public. Money isn't the only way to donate to MSI.
