The bolt looks fine.

could it be that the receiver is just thirsty for oil/lube? i did not have any lube with me after removing the cosmoline and just around to lubing it up.. maybe i just need more?

LOL. i have to wait for ammo to arrive. when it does, my friend and i will be going to town.

the action is still stiff, but i now know that the bolt is 100% properly assembled. actually took it apart completely and reassembled it. pretty easy now that i have done it several times.
