Its all because politics is just so corrupt to the very core. Like democrats know giving illegals citizenship is a bad idea, but by giving them citizenship they can vote. And the party that gives them their American dream they will always side with...on top of the fact the 99% of illegals likely think democratic anyways. So basically you could sway the vote almost 4% in favor of democrats just by signing that into law. When our elections come so close to being 50/50 sometimes that 4% could kill republicans chances of ever getting back in office. Thats my thoughts at least.

The small fraction is 100%. That is why they are called illegal immigrants. I agree with your point though that an isolated incident does not call for an all out ban.
