    Judge Chuang
    3:00 PM Motions Hearing
Maryland Shall Issue, Inc. et al v. Montgomery County, Maryland
    TDC-21-1736
    Courtroom: 2B

“Motions Hearing” is now an oxymoron.

“Motions” - - but no movement.

“Hearing” - - but are judges listening?

    Ask me how I know.

Tomorrow will mark 4 weeks since msi gave their response. You'd think we would get an answer for the TRO by now seeing as we've been waiting since Thanksgiving.

Anyone want to guess whether or not the MoCo bill was a trial balloon encouraged by the MGA to see how far they could take this? Or, if it's something MGA is furious about because any court action taken against the MoCo bill effectively neuters MGA (pretty sure they're neutered in real life) attempts to diminish 2A rights?
At a guess, it depends on which one. A few might be pissed. Some are likely relieved because they don't think things like SB1 have a chance. Not all Dems tilt at windmills. That doesn't mean they won't vote lock-step with their party because they don't want to seem weak on gun control even if THEY think it is nuts. Some are probably ambivalent. "so what, we will still pass it so I can tell my constituents I did something".

I think the true believers are maybe pissed. Though it would take twisted logic there other than maybe the thought that the state would have a better chance to get it to stick, or that they'd make a lot more gun owners mad for the short time the law might stick around till struck down. The ambivalent ones are the ones that know it has no chance anyway and are going to go along with it no matter what and don't care if it'll for sure get an immediate PI/TRO with the MoCo bill decision (supposing the decision is the hold it and strike it down). The lock-step ones would rather not waste time and effort on this stuff and can then point to the fact that things like SB1 have ZERO chance and to move on to something else.

You are not far from facetious! And I like the humor.
It's about 2 hours now after the meeting.
It's either, Yes a PI and TRO or No.

    CONCLUSION
A TRO and a preliminary injunction should be granted without delay. Respectfully submitted,

The little red headed devil is going all out.

In response to SCOTUS opinion, Senate committee will consider bills this week to limit concealed firearms possession

"Denise Reid has an unfortunate level of knowledge about gun violence, with 11 family members shot or killed. That includes her son, Tevon Terrell, who succumbed to his injuries in April 2009, more than two years after a bullet severed his spinal cord and paralyzed him from the neck down."

She hasn't figured out her family, community and culture is toxic?
