I've only seen GOA and MSI on the suits filed so I stick with them.Sure would be nice if the NRA got involved.....

I read that if the officer decides to charge you its a misdemeanor and either 1k fine or 6 months in jail. What happens if you have a ccw and carry in these "safe spaces"?
they cannot be (and are not) that stupid. it's clearly intentional. There people are beyond stupid
Here's what the NRA published back on July 15, 2022: https://www.nraila.org/articles/20220715/maryland-montgomery-county-seeks-to-restrict-lawful-carryI've only seen GOA and MSI on the suits filed so I stick with them.
Exactly. All they've done is write about it.Here's what the NRA published back on July 15, 2022: https://www.nraila.org/articles/20220715/maryland-montgomery-county-seeks-to-restrict-lawful-carry
It's unclear if they've done anything else since then, but I'm not seeing anything.
I had a conversation many years ago with a higher up NRA person about maryland. Simply put I was told they would not spend any money in maryland beyond what they called the minimum to maintain a presence due to it being a lost cause. Here's what the NRA published back on July 15, 2022: https://www.nraila.org/articles/20220715/maryland-montgomery-county-seeks-to-restrict-lawful-carry

Not disqualifying until MGA adds any firearm crime to the disqualifying crime list for HGP's. I can see them doing that, its a simple " Any person who has a conviction of any firearm related charges are disqualified from obtaining a HGP "No reason to comply then. Not disqualifying even.
See here: https://bethesdamagazine.com/2022/1...rying-within-100-yards-of-some-public-places/ --> Misdemeanor, punishable by fine up to $1000 and/or 6 months in jail.1000 fine
Misdemeanor

Now that Maryland is a Shall Issue state, I wonder if they still feel that way. You'd think they wouldn't after that, but If NRA doesn't get involved in any litigation against this law, I guess they still do.I had a conversation many years ago with a higher up NRA person about maryland. Simply put I was told they would not spend any money in maryland beyond what they called the minimum to maintain a presence due to it being a lost cause.
Its one of the reasons I dropped my nra membership years ago.
do the various ccw insurance companies cover you if you break any laws, even unconstitutional ones?Damn, I wonder if CCW insurance would still cover you...they could weasel out and not take your case...right?
Nope.do the various ccw insurance companies cover you if you break any laws, even unconstitutional ones?
