Ruger Sr1911, or the SA 1911 RO comes with extra goodies and a mail in offer for free pistol bag and 2 extra mags offer until end of the year
LOL let me fix this for you.....
HRT uses Springfield 1911s that are so tricked out that they do not even resemble a Springfield anymore.
If I was on the fence, this review would absolutely tip me toward the Springfield RO, especially since I'm not inclined to ever carry it, even if somehow hell freezes over, pigs fly, and MD becomes a shall-issue state.
I actually like those mods, although for me they are more of an aesthetic thing - functionally the commander style hammer and the stock grip safety are probably "better" although it might only be by a fraction. My Range Officer with spur hammer and GI style grip safety...these mods were previously required to compete in CMP matches. The CMP rules changed this year and commander style hammers and beavertail grip safeties are legal for Service Pistol matches.
The only beef I have with this review is he complained about finding a holster for the SA. The SA RO comes with a holster.
