Yeah its shiney looking - because the brass was tumbled. Any brass tumbler can do that.

For what you probably paid for that ammo order - you could have bought a reloader, and loaded your own without the wait.

Find me a good reloading system with everything I need for under $180 minus consumables and I might just do it. I don't shoot enough to make it worth while to spend over $400 for a progressive system plus all the brass, bullets, powder and primers. The effort is not worth it for me at this point.

Have filed a complaint with the Nevada bbb. I am also looking to see if there are any legal.charges I can file with the Nevada authorities. I am looking into what legal options I have with them. I ordered in March, and cannot get in contact with them. As far as I am.concerned he took my money and failed to provide the product promised. To me that is theft or fraud.

I've read about people complaining to the BBB. BBB checked them out and saw that they were just really shorthanded and busy that's why it's taking forever to get ammo out. It's shitty business though to not communicate at all with your customers. Facebook was their only way to communicate for a while and that's not even working anymore. You think with all the money they basically stole from people they could hire more people to help and actually get orders out.

Wait, so all this is because you wanted to save $20 on ammo?

Closer to about $40 savings. It was about $170 shipped for the JR ammo. It was about $210 shipped last year when I bought a case of Federal 9mm. I still had some Federal left between the case I bought and buying some 100 rnd packs at Walmart so I figured it wouldn't matter if I had to wait 2 months for more. So much for that. It's going on 4 months now. Lol. I read good things about JR other than the wait and figured saving $40 on a case would be nice. I only use the ammo for the range so I don't really need factory rounds.

I prefer to use Georgia Arms Ammo. Their canned heat is $175 for 500 rnds. It shoots well and you get the can to boot. I will have to try the Ross ammo but I will wait until I see others having better luck.

Sorry. I had 45 on the brain from reading the Wally World price posted. Yes, that was 45 ammo I was talking about at $175/500 not the 9mm. 8mm is about 115-130 per 500.

    Georgia Arms 9mm is $130/500.

    The .45 is $175/500.

Gotcha. Just checked out their site. $175/500 for .45 is not bad if you get in on their free shipping deal. You have to spend over $500 though. I just got suckered into the same deal from Freedom Munitions. Deal was too good to pass up. Spent $960 on a bunch of ammo. Looks like people are actually receiving their ammo from this place and the reviews are good.

Got an email saying my FM order for 4k rnds of ammo shipped today. Ordered back on the 1st so that's pretty quick since it was a Holiday weekend. It's nice to get communication from a company. Hoping to get my refund for the ammo I got from JR soon.

Its a single stage Lee - not top of the line - but it most certainly will reload just about any cartridge. $109, and all you would need is dies an components. Dont believe the ******** notion that you have to have a progressive press to load handgun cartridges. If you dont shoot that often, then you wont need a progressive anyways. Ive loaded more handgun rounds then I count on a single stage without issues.

How long would it take to load per round on a low-end system? How much faster can one reload if you spent a bit more?

I've got a 'low-end' progressive, Lee Pro1000, I still churn out a few hundred rounds every time I sit at the bench - and I'm not moving that fast.

Something like Dillon or Hornady, that amount goes up significantly, although the price goes up equally.

It depends on your skill level- and familiarity. If your new to reloading, it will take you a little bit longer, until you become familiar. Yes progressives will load more - and faster, but for starting out, it should never be about speed, but safety.

If you do your loading in batches, it dosnt take as long as one thinks. Do all your case sizings in one batch, then case belling in one batch. When it comes to the actual loading - You can load them in how many lots of ammo you choose. I generally do my lots in 100, since most primers are boxed for 100 rounds - and most pistol ammo boxes hold 100. You dont have to do all the steps in one day either.

If I start shooting anymore than I do now, I'll look into getting a basic reloading setup. Consumable costs are going up. With the amount I shoot it'll take a while to recoup the costs of reloading for me.

I think I'll start reloading after I get out of college, Don't have the time right now for it to be worth it. I'm lucky if i get out once every other week.
