I have watched the clip several times. Great stuff.
It has some folks so that I have now seen claims that Jack is a paid lobbyist.
If he was a lobbyist, you wouldn't see him testifying in committee, you would see him wining and dining the senators in Annapolis most expensive restaurant. While I agree with him, he needs to work on his argument and delivery.
Thank you. I'd love to hear Jack opine on the recently and very much maligned "green tipped" cop killing bullets...
I am always open for advice. Please PM me with any suggestions.

Really??
You must not have watched his testimony, I think he did one of, if not the best delivery of information to our representatives I've ever had the pleasure of watching. I think he drove home the point perfectly.
Thank you again Mr. McCauley for your picture perfect delivery.
I dont like that he said applicants will still have to articulate a reason for self defense when applying.
That still leaves the decision up to the individual troopers if the applicants reason is good enough. Self Defense should be good enough, you should not have to articulate it.
IMO we will still be in the same boat were in now.

As the head of the Maryland State Police Licensing Division, Jack McCauley decided what would qualify as a “good and substantial” reason to obtain a handgun permit on a case by case basis. Maryland is a “may issue” state — meaning the ultimate decision on whether to issue a concealed carry permit is left to a government official.
I'm unimpressed, as the head of the MSP he had a duty to the citizens he served to study the facts and do the right thing, he chose to play politics with the safety and well being of those he swore to protect. His 11th hour religious conversion is a little to late....Sounds like a campaign is coming.
