Thats what I said ....I am trying to get ammo shipped to me and UPS and FedEx are saying they will not ship friend to friend that it needs to be shipped to an FFL......i have talked to their main office and they said it shouldnt be a problem to ship and they cant understand why the hub in columbia, SC wont do it...

No firearm involed....i quoted their website and the person shipping had a print out of their site saying they ship ammo.

Is your friend shipping it with the Hazmat fee? He should be able to do it provided it goes ground shipping and hazmat is taken care of. Someone will chime in shortly.

You might need to look into the laws, and send them on to some of their supervisors. Mentioning that you are getting a bit impatient, and unless they can come up with a law stating that the ammo needs to be shipped to a FFL they will be hearing from your lawyer might help. That is if your story is as told (does not make sense as I have received 2000 round of ammo from them in the last month).

Also you DO NOT NEED a hazmat to ship ammo, only explosive components. Otherwise keep us posted on this, I'd love to see what happens/happened.

Is he using a genuine UPS facility to send the ammo, or a franchised store front. Another poster had the same problem, and it was solved when he shipped the ammo from UPS hub. Those guys knew the law and policy, mom and pop's may not.

It must be shipped from a HUB/Sort Facility. Ammo cannot be shipped from a UPS Store.
