New toys arrived today from SOG.

    Got a M44 and a CZ82. Both are great.

The M44 is beautiful with matching #s on the bolt, stock and frame.

It's just covered in cosmo. Barrel looks OK.

The CZ is cool also. It came with a pouch and extra mag. Can't wait to try these two out.

I'm very happy and glad I got these when the prices were a little down.

Need to get some sort of limbsaver for the Mosin, I got one for my long version and I can shoot it all day and I am a smaller dude.

Do you find that you really need it on teh 91/30? It's been my experience that my 91/30s don't kick so much as shove. I can shoot them all day with teh steel buttplate, no problem.

The carbines, M44 included, don't shove so much as kick. I do have a pad on the butt of mine.

I use the limbsaver on my saiga12 and my 91/30. It makes a huge difference. I'm a small guy and no I can shoot all day. Both took the medium size. They are now over $20 but that brand seems to be the most durable. It tames the beast.

Congrats I just got a M44 and a 91/30 in the last week. They are both in great shape. The 44 is from AIM and the 91/30 is from J&G. The 91/30 was goobed in cosmo but alittle brake cleaner took care of most of that. They both need a real cleaning but I can at least pick them up without be slimed. The bores on both are bright with no pitting. Can't wait to shoot them as soon as I find a range close by.

Well guys I took the M44 out today.

Unfortunately it was off about 12 inches to the right at 50 yards.

My target didn't last long today :( and I didn't bring any adjustment tool.

I definitively can see flash would be cool to shoot at dusk.

Looking at the front sight is not very centered.

Those are pretty C&R acquisitions. Congrats!

Did you fire the M44 with the bayo extended? That's how the aresenals sighted them for the peasants to shoot...:innocent0
