Howdy from South County

I picked up an Andersen stripped lower yesterday as a Black Friday weekend gift to myself. Plan is to build a fun shooting range/hog/varmint rifle. I'm thinking of building the rest of the lower out myself and trying to find an appropriate complete upper to finish it off. I'm sure I'll be looking for help as the process goes along!

Welcome. You don't say what state your county is in, but assuming Maryland, I suggest you read some of the threads here to find out what configurations you can legally build that lower of yours into.

Just did the same. I needed a place to "keep" my HBAR upper. Better on an HBAR restricted lower than on my "freedom" lowers.

LOL yeah all of us on the bottom end of AA County (basically south of Edgewater) consider ourselves "South County" to kinda show we are more on the southern MD side. No offense to anyone farther north or anywhere else...just something we've been doing for many years.
