This one kind of ties into the what is your top ten list. I've been looking a long time for an original Pre 64 Winchester Model 70 in a varmint caliber, preferably 220 Swift. The main criteria was the rifle had to be original and it had to be affordable, the affordable part has been the hard one as decent 220 Swifts go for 1500 to 3500.
First table I went to today had a well worn but not abused Model 70 Standard sitting there, picked it up and low and behold it was 220 Swift, look the gun over and it is all original, original peeling finish, butt plate, no extra holes.
Went outside and did some quick research and went back in and made an offer that was accepted. Rifle has an old Boyt sling, clear El Paso Weaver K6 and 5 boxes of Norma ammo.
This will be my new varmint destroyer, may look into moving one of my higher power Unertl's on it and making it a real vintage varmint rifle
