I'm just going to say this, then prepare for the incoming.

I believe the continual matching of MDS member names to real people and real faces is wrong.

    Fire away.

Great job by our panelist. Especially the off the cuff response to the question about criminals owning 'antique' or replica weapons. You all made it obvious, its the intent of the criminal, not the stick, rock, club, or weapon used in the crime. Charge criminals for the actions they commit, not the environment, body, or weapons they may carry. Simple firearms are used by law-abiding, ordinary citizens many thousands of times for good than criminals use them for evil.

With the logic of that bill, they could argue outlawing plumbing pipes, and fertilizer. Everyone knows that bill is ridiculous and isn't going anywhere.

I am disappointed with our testimony here. Too bad I'm too chicken myself to get up there.

Somebody shame me so I will testify.

    Will need more than that.

Okay, I told DC-W that his next day of trap or skeet was on me.

He said to pass it along to you, which I have done.

You testify on gun bill day and I will pay up AGAIN.

(I know...it is changing the offer and I know you can't do it now 'til next year...but the offer will stand)

So, I will take you skeet or trap shooting this year, and we will talk about testifying. WHEN you testify next year, I will take you shooting AGAIN, AND a guest of your choice.

    That enough?

It's easy. State your name, where you live, then that you support or oppose the bill. Elaborate if you like, or just "thank you" and sit down. You don't have to respond to questions if you don't want to.

If I can do it (and I did last week,) you can too.
