Hi all, first time post. I have an opportunity to acquire either an HK USP Compact or a Berretta Px4 Storm, both in .40 S&W. I have shot and enjoyed both, and each is being offered for the same cost. Any thoughts on pros and cons of each?

HK...because its HK. That's enough reason right there. The usp was designed around the .40 from the ground up, it's not a 9 that was just retrofitted to be a .40. The usp is about the most iconic pistol out there next to the 1911. It's a straight bomb proof weapon.

i cant say from personal experience, but i was under the impression that the usp is an amazing gun. the px4 on the other hand is ok.

    End thread.

USP without a single secondary thought or hint of hesitation. :party29:

I have an HK full size .45 and a px4 in .40. I really love the HK, smother cycling and just an all around great feel in my hand. The px4 is cool and I bought one just to try it. Shoots well but didn't see all the hype when shooting. Go HK if for no other reason you can sell it and buy 2 px4's! Lol
