    Me too. Many times.

Yeah, lawyers being lawyers aside, it would seem that something recent prompted this.
My guess is it's the recent Virtue Signaling by Mayor B.S. over Ghost Guns and Polymer80.

Anyone who wants to post the OP in The Water Cooler it's fine by me.

    Spread the word.

    Nationally.

    2. **Ammunition Purchase and Possession**: I declare that any and all ammunition purchased or
    possessed by me
will not be used in a handgun or an assault weapon as defined by the state of
Maryland. My acquisition of ammunition is for lawful purposes that are in compliance with all applicable
    federal, state, and local laws.
Sounds like they're trying to restrict the use of ammo obtained elsewhere too. Where do these people get such ideas from?!

It's already posted where most people have access to it.

Items 4 and 5 have some merit ???

    But 1-3 are just

Do any Dicks stores even carry ammo or firearms anymore? I wouldn't know first hand. I thought most, if not all, of them did away with such "evil".

I think the squaregrouper meant, SINCE DICKS stopped selling ammo, ALL purchases FROM DICKS were and have been suspended by him

    This was my choice too.
I haven't been to one of their stores since they ordered thousands of evil AR15's for a Christmas sale, then cancelled the order due to Sandy Hook. I'm pretty sure it either bankrupted the company or came mighty close.
    .
Oh yeah, I also boycotted CTD after they cancelled my 1000rds of 7.62x39 amidst Sandy Hook and relisted the exact item (identical sku) a few hours later for 3x what I ordered it for a day or two prior. I'm sure people heard stories like this from CTD, and it happened to me personally.

Here is the message I just sent them...

Your company now has a letter of intent regarding ammunition sales to residents of Maryland. There are no MD laws regarding what you are now requiring. For all intents and purposes, we need to fill out a form and lie about our intended use of the ammunition. EX: I can purchase .357 Sig ammo from you as long as I attest it won't be used in a handgun. To the best of my knowledge, .357 Sig is not chambered in anything BUT handguns.
Please explain why this company policy was put in place when there are no Maryland laws requiring it.

    Thanks.

I'm curious if MD threatened legal action or something. I can see them not wanting a legal battle with the state if they did, though.

They have been a good resource for reloading components, often stocking bullets and powders that no one else has at a reasonable price. It would be a shame if MD residents lose them.

Someone who writes better letters than I do might want to send a letter to NSSF

They might be able to reeducate Midsouth.

Maryland dont need them around for deer killas seems anyhow and they mustof got the memo down yonder to the 16th state.

What legal action could they be threatened with anyway? They weren't doing anything different than than any other suppliers.

CTD did the exact same thing to me.

    Hello Sir,
We have added a service to help keep us aware of the ever-changing laws placed on our space. And unfortunately MD is one of the states that has restrictions added now, we are able to send the ammo, or reloading components once the assertion of intent and Government ID is returned.

    Thanks,

@BurkeM @esqappellate Do either of you know about these new restrictions in Maryland? I have not heard of anything and would prefer to provide an informed response.

Hopefully no MGA moles reading this otherwise it's coming.
This sounds like it night be related to what Midsouth has started doing:

    According to Giffords:

In Maryland, no person may sell, rent or transfer ammunition solely designed for a handgun or assault weapon to a person under age 21.

Maybe they haven't been verifying handgun and assault rifle ammo purchasers were over 21. Apparently that's a thing now.
