So I’m looking into getting my first suppressor, still checking on brands but I’m trying to figure if anything you guys know off hand can fit inside this free floating hg I have. See Following pics for inner diameter size, if this is the wrong forum area please forgive me.

1.45 is pretty much a no-go for suppressor usage. 1.5" is the smallest diameter can for 5.56 for most manufacturers. Find a new handguard. If it's the same variety of handguard but shorter, you might even be able to get away with a very easy swap.

I think you are screwed. The thinest can I know that will handle 5.56 is 1.47.

Damn, guess I need to find something smaller. The only question I got is since my barrel is 12.5 will an actual 12” hg work without any issue? Seeing that was what my handguard was suppose to be instead of 12.4.

Haha, I’ll throw some feet in the next build lol. The handguard was suppose to be 12” and the barrel is 12.5, but the website lied and the barrel is actually 12.4”. Looks like I’ll need to find either something bigger in diameter or shorter.

I would remove the handguard and take 3/8" off the end of it with a chop saw and appropriate blade. (Right to the tip of the flip up sight touching the rail)
Touch up the end with some Aluma Black and a Q-Tip and nobody will be any wiser.
