    Greetings!

I've been lurking on here for a little while (great info to be had,) and finally registered so I can participate. I recently bought my first handgun, a M&P9, and am looking forwards to becoming more proficient with a pistol. It's a purchase that I was "meaning to" make for a long time, and well...now was the time (I don't think I need to say any more there!) I did a lot of shooting with various .22 rifles growing up, so I'm a pretty good shot with those but not so much (yet) with a handgun :D

I plan on getting a year's pass at Hap Baker soon (I shot with a friend there once, seemed like a pretty nice place) so I'll probably do most of my shooting there. The only other range I've shot at in MD was at On Target, seemed like an OK indoor range but I balk at the membership price although the occasional per-hour visit is ok (I kind of like shooting outdoors, anyways.) If anyone else has any other suggestions on other places I should check out, I'd greatly appreciate it.

    Glad to be here!

Hey Chaos, welcome. A bunch of us Carroll County folks are going to meet up at Cobblestone this Saturday. We have a lot of new members from the 21784 area and I thought it might be good to hang out for a bit.

7:30 or so if you are interested.

    Cheers!

Welcome. Hap Baker is great for a public range. Every thing you need is
included (except firearm and ammo) and they don't even charge for the
    moving pistol targets. :D

Thank you for the welcome, all!

And the free "moving targets"...yeah that gave me a chuckle. Thankfully the day that I went before was a calm day. Not sure that I would want to go there if it was too windy.
