Unfortunately, I don't have the time today to watch the whole hearing. Any quick summary? I assume it was voted out. What were the amendments? What is the state of this sucker?

If I am reading HB842 correctly for the 3rd reader language, all they really amended in it was moving the renewal period from 3 years, to 2 years, and now back to 3 years as passed. Still change in the class instruction as well as doubling all fees.
    HB 824 IS CORRECT BILL

Well, while MD was raising permit fees, Kansas was lowering theirs.

Kansas – Effective July 1, 2023. The Governor has signed SB 116 which cut the price of a Kansas Carry Permit from $132.50 to just $32.50 and on renewal only a fee for Fingerprints will be charged. The State just cut out their $100 dollar charge and just left the $32.50 for the Sheriff. The Sheriff takes in application and paperwork and then sends it on to the State. http://kslegislature.org/li/b2023_24/measures/documents/sb116_enrolled.pdf
