What's a decent safe to get, less than 2k? I have 7 long guns and about 30 hand guns. I was about to get a Liberty Safe.

Yes, he will add a few guns in the future, but also important papers, binoculars, camera, jewelry, and on and on. Go bigger.

I agree with the above posters. When I bought a gun safe, I thought it would be way more than I would ever need. Now I find that it is completely full!

I like that idea but wouldn't a nice steel door and steel frame be about as expensive as a safe. I don't know for sure but I have considered doing the same.

Yes , but for multiple reasons .

#1 ‐ You will aquire more .
#2 ‐ The rated capacity = They can be packed in that many . But if you want to use the gun in back , you'll have to take most of the rest out first .

My choice was Sturdy but I would consider a Zanotti or SnapSafe if you plan on moving in your near future

I believe i saw an article about liberty's sister company donating millions to anti-gun libs. Didn't read the article but super lame if true.

Most of my guns are not scoped and if so the less space you will have. Anything with a carry handle, pistol grips or straight bolt will also take up room.

Example: 20 gun safe expect 12-14 with mostly scoped and maybe close to 16-17 non scoped. Handguns can fit anywhere lets be honest

Most times it is better to sell and then buy another at the new house.
