    i just got back from the range.
    the last shot didnt seem right.
    a picture is worth a thousand words.

    it looks like a GI barrel bushing will work fine.
    have to pick one up at the next show.:)
     
    Happened to me a long time ago. GSG was shipping pot metal bushings on the earlier guns. Now they use steel. I just called ATI and they sent me out a new one, and a new plug (the old one shot downrange when the bushing went and couldn't be found). Or like you said, use GI parts.

    I'm with you! The picture just reminds me of my house. My wife is fully capable of consuming the water from the brita but apparently is incapable of refilling the pitcher!

    That's exactly right.
    If you own a GSG and you're not sure what you have, just use a magnet to test whether it's zinc or steel.
    If it's zinc, you may want to replace it just as a precaution.
