Issue: (1) Whether the Second Amendment secures a right to carry handguns for self-defense outside the home; and (2) whether state officials violate the Second Amendment by denying handgun carry licenses to responsible, law-abiding adults for lack of “proper cause” to bear arms for self-defense.

Don't want to jinx it, but I have a really good feeling re SCOTUS.

It is interesting when a state's citizens dislike a right ruled by the SCOTUS , some then strongly champion state's rights to veto it in their state or pass laws regulating it to death (no pun intended) . Ironic we now have Maryland making laws for itself, and now the dissenters look to Federal Government for correction. :innocent0
Now, no doubt I'm hoping the Feds can help us here, but just pointing out the hypocrisy of some who once in a while bring up the contentious straw man concerning a woman's deal and championing states rights on that issue.

Have you actually read the Constitution? There is nothing there about Marriage, abortion, or the hundred of other things that the Feds have gotten involved in. But there is the 2nd and 10th amendments that say. You gun rights can't be infringed and all powers not outlined belong to the states. Gun policy like the Military are part of the federal preview.

    Thanks
    Robert
