The nice thing about the "dish soap" method... is that it goes on easier... and when the dish soap dries, it stays in place "ish".

The NOT so nice thing about the dish soap method is that ANY moisture allowed to get in between the tube and grip will rehydrate the dish soap and cause the tube to slip around on the grip.

The same thing goes for the "Hogue Handall" grip sleeves. Which is why I stopped using them on my Glock carry pistols.

In my younger days I used the dish soap method on my mountain bike grips. Guess what happened when I was riding in the rain?

    Yeah...it hurt.

Yepper... As my Dad would say... "Smarts don't it... But, will it make your head smarter?"

I normally needed to learn a painful lesson only once. And it did not matter if I was the one in pain or it was someone else learning the lesson.

On motorcycle grips a special adhesive is used. The adhesive is very slick and allows the grip to be slid into proper position, but once it sets, must be removed with something that dissolves the adhesive.

My first two Glock's are Gen 2, a G19 and a G17. They are both about 20 years old. They both have the hogue handall grips that were put on 20 years ago. They haven't slipped, shifted, or degraded. I never used dish soap to install them, simply fought them into place through lots of small pulls. Maybe the Hogue grips were made different 20 years ago but they have been flawless in all weather with many thousands of rounds fired through both guns.

Ill never understand why people send a glock away for a grand worth of work when they can just buy something to better begin with.

Before the glockers freak out, I own glocks, and currenty have one on me as i type this.

I forgot to tell you USPS dropped the MSP letter off yesterday for the transfer. You were disapproved. The letter said you have an open warrant for revenge porn. The guy in the pink shorts didn't think it was funny when you posted his pic online after you broke up. LMAO

Its no use. You've been disapproved as well for your assault on bafflingbs over his 21ft range reports.
It is better than being disapproved over this (your ex boo):
