Everyone I saw seemed to have a good time.

Was me and the wife’s first time participating and we had a great time. This is a great way to train and run those guns.
Even though it to early to get up on a weekend it’s a cool event and we’ll run.

You should come shoot with us sometime. Videos never do it justiceEnjoyed the video. Thanks.
We always like to hear that folks had fun. We're also interested in feedback about things that weren't as much fun as they could be. We try to keep things fresh...but there's only so much we can do with the space we have.We had a great time. Thanks to you and the RSOs.
Come on out! As long as I'm a part of running it, this match is going to be friendly and inviting to new (or newly returning to ) action shooters. Even the more complicated stages can just be done slowly and steadily. We usually have new shooters and often experienced but somewhat less able bodied shooters. I do my best not to design any traps. If there are any situations that can be a little "trappy," we discuss it in the safety brief. Finger off the trigger and muzzle downrange is pretty much the whole thing...remembering to do both when required is the trick.Tagging this. Art, thanks for taking the time to post the videos in the OP. It has been a long time since I've done anything like these matches, and even then it was only a one time deal. I'd like to get up there one day for a match.
This is the view from the dorky camera on my head of one of our MDS members (I'll let him reveal himself). He did a great run and was a fantastic help, not just to our squad, but the event as a whole
Just sign up for a practiscore.com account. You could attent a "fun shoot". No timer, no scores. But honestly I'd recommend coming to this one 1st. Art and all the RO's are great with coaching new shooters. How would an intermediate pistol shooter but total newbie to steel matches get into these ? Are there courses like this that can be practiced on ? How to become approved to shoot first event ? Really interested and enjoyed the videos, Thanks for posting them !

More import to be safe than quick. Follow instructions, keep your finger out of the trigger guard (until ready to fire), don't break 180, maintain proper grip, and smooth trigger press.

It really is that simple. Check out the video in the very first post of this thread to make sure you have the minimum gear ( it ain't a lot). You can create your practiscore account now (it's free, just need an email address and come up with a password). I'll post this link when registration opens one week before the next match (9/24).Just sign up for a practiscore.com account. You could attent a "fun shoot". No timer, no scores.
