    Check Cashed 8/10/22
    Permit received Via mail 9/9/22

    Mine is in limbo. I sent it in end of june, did not send money for the background check. Had to wait for their letter, send it back with more money. Now I am in the "your being proccesed plat wait...." hole.

    I completed my MD W&C class 7/24/22 and submitted the completed application the same day. At the class I was offered the option to use the same class to also satisfy the training requirement for the Florida non resident permit. I completed the application and wrote a check which was sent to Florida in a single package along with other class attendees.

    As of today, 8/3/22, the check has not been cashed. I realize the Bruin decision has most likely made the government employees quite buisy, but it has in the past been my experience that payments are ALWAYS collected immediately. How long have others experienced from the time they mailed in their Florida application until the check is cashed? Just want to temper my expectations with a healthy dose of reality.

    Fingerprint Card Instructions for All Out-of-State Residents and Florida Residents for whom electronic fingerprint services are not available:
    1. Your fingerprints must be taken by a Law Enforcement Agency.
    2. You must submit a complete and legible set of fingerprints on an original Fingerprint Card.
    3. Fingerprint cards may be requested on our website at:
    4. Electronic copies of fingerprints will not be accepted from out-of-state applicants.
    5. Detailed Fingerprint Card Submission Instructions are provided on page three of this document.
    6. Your fingerprint card will not be processed if:
    a. The required information is not contained within the designated blocks.
    b. A highlighter is used.
    c. The card has been folded, creased, or damaged
