I've been lurking for about a month reading a few threads here and there, and finding lots of various old posts to learn some stuff.

I bought my first firearm a month ago from an IP here and have been to the range every week since. I've been going to Free State Gun Range as that seemed like my closest choice.

I have a Windham Weaponry AR15 and am already itching to get another gun. I'm looking at the CZ Scorpion and torn between the pistol or carbine. I'm also thinking about getting into reloading. Seems like a hobby I could enjoy, especially as it'll let me shoot more for the same amount of money I currently spend.

Looking forward to participating around here!

    Welcome!

And only get the Scorpion pistol if you have plans to get a tax stamp and turn it into an SBR. In pistol-only configuration, it's pretty useless. The carbine is great though! And you can still chop and thread the barrel down the road if you ever decide NFA games are for you.

I saw one on the shelf at Atlantic in Rockville just the other day, if you are looking to pick one up in person.

Ok, this is the information I needed, thanks!

I would eventually like to make it an SBR, but not to start.

Do I need the HQL for the carbine?
