Ever wonder if there's people on here that you know, but didn't know were on MDS?

With the anonymity of the internet and use of screen names, do you think that maybe there's people on the MDS forums that you know, have met, went to school with, etc...BUT you didn't know they were on here?

I was born and raised in St. Mary's County - we tend to know most everyone from here, or at least have mutual friends/relatives...(SMIBs)

I found out one of the guys I saw regularly at work was on here, not that we were buddies, but it was definitely a surprise to put a face to a avatar unexpectedly. It's one thing to meet guys that you've talked to on here and know they're members from the get, it's another entirely to have been active on the forums for a while, and one day find out the guy you argued with about railing Stephanie is your cousin.

My half brother is on here. I met him one time about 15 years ago. His name is Michael.

My Father was only in my life for a VERY short time 2 times in my life (Once at 10, and once at 19). Its one of his 2 sons.


Generally I dont have the anynomity issue because people know my full name.

I had an uncle from Nevada on my biological fathers side on Americas Most Wanted when I was around 16 . My fathers whole side of the family is "special" I dont associate with them . Was pretty bad for my father as he is retired LEO.
