I was not personally close to Ed, but he always greeted me as if I were a good friend. He offered encouragement while I was obtaining my MD W&C permit the first time and he was always a barometer for me in the fight.

Rest easy to one of the most dedicate 2A men in the country!

Ed was a cool cat. He came up playing in a rock band and wowing the ladies.

After 7 decades he would be sporting stylish clothes and cool sunglasses with a groovy baseball hat, as seen here. He had the persona of a Man of Consequence, which he most certainly was.

Here, left to right in the wide shot in post 67, he was enjoying the company of Dblas, me, Mark75H, the Notorious AOB and DC-W at a party. He loved people and loved hanging with us when he could.

Prayed for him. May the good lord take him in his arms and comfort him. Not for his passing but for all the friends he's left behind and the loved ones. One day we shall meet and you can tell me all the stories that your life experienced. Looking forward to it my friend.

Fired up the Wayback Machine for a picture.

I'll fire up the Wayback Machine as well. When the FSA of 2013 was being debated, the original bill was much worse than the one that passed. It had more "assault weapons" characteristics early on that were later dropped.

One item that was dropped was adjustable stocks. My daughter testified both at Lawyer's Mall but more importantly in front of the General Assembly committees hearing this bill. Ed provided the pink folding stock my daughter used to so effectively carry the message forward.

The bill was changed, the language improved, and I know Ed had a hand in helping to make that happen. In so many ways, large and small, both seen and unseen, his positive impact was felt on the greater community. We're poorer for his passing.

(FYI the next video was just past 3:00 AM. Victoria stumbled over her words a bit more, not surprising considering how late she had to stay up to do this and the fact she was only 14 years old at the time, but the point remains her being able to demonstrate a non-scary pink piece of plastic, thanks to Ed, I believe helped to get this stricken from the final bill.)

Grabbed a close up of that Pretty In Pink sliding stock that Ed provided for Victoria...

    Practical, not tactical!
