Lookin to upgrade from my glock 26 and ruger lc9 which are difficult for me to pull back slide more so the ruger lc 9.

Both good shooters for concealed carry. Carry lc 9 and glock Inside waist band with lcp in pocket during summer.
Want an inside waist band winter carry arm around same size as lc9 at most size of glock.

Thinking maybe a sig 365, that seems to be the standard carry piece these days and has good track record but also the ez shield that seems to take little effort to rack the slide compared to the sig.
I have shot them both ez being easier to operate but not the track record sig does.
Opinions/ experience’s to help steer me in right direction
    Thanks for your feedback

You carry with a round in the chamber.
I think my P365 has had the same bullet in the chamber since June or July. It's probably about time to clean out some of the lint. :o

While there is a chance of needing to clear a jam, I would still favor the small size and big capacity of the P365 (or Hellcat or Shield Plus) over the medium size and low capacity of the EZ...unless there is just absolutely no way you can chamber the other ones.

Also, how are you racking it? Slingshot with finger and thumb, or reaching over with the whole hand? Perhaps technique could resolve the issue.

I used to find my LCP hard to rack because the slide is slippery: not much to grasp.

I stuck little pieces of stair tread anti slip material to the slide, and it made a huge difference. The slide is easy to rack now.

Many people who can rack the slide of the S&W EZ Shield can't operate the grip safety. Make sure you can operate all the functions before you purchase. As pointed out above, it is larger than the other handguns mentioned.

As pointed out, a different grip may be a better idea.

You could also consider any gun that you can put a red dot on. Having that big red dot sticking off the top makes it easy to rack with either your hands or just by pressing the dot off of something sturdy.

Ah yes. I replied before I read all the posts. Wifey does have an issue with the grip safety. She has to really focus on squeezing her grip. I try to get her to practice her grip every night before we go to sleep.

I understand "sling shotting" the slide is tough for people who have a hard time racking a slide.
If you think about racking, you don't do it that often. Grabbing over the top is the answer. Most racking is "admin" when you are loading the pistol.
Empty pistol, lock slide back using over the top method, insert mag, hit the slide lock and send it in.
While shooting, the pistol locks back on empty, mag exchange, hit slide lock to send it forward.
Clearing the pistol, drop mag, pistol pointed "down range", you literally face it from the side, grab over the top and eject the round.

A new "thing" isn't always the answer. OP might need to learn other methods from a little knowledge transfer.
Racking, loading, and clearing are not gentle procedures. Especially with these little guns.

I'd be more than happy to meet up and give you some ideas and to properly diagnose the issue.

Grip tape custom cut for the slide. Terrific improvement for most pistols.

I bought the Springfield XD-E for that reason. Very easy to rack. Not a lot of love for that model though. I like it.
