depends.

If It was first built as a rifle, taking the stock off makes it a SBR (as it'll likely be under 26" OAL). If it started as a pistol, that you later put a stock on to make a rifle (or SBR depending on barrel length and OAL), then taking the stock back off converts it back into a pistol.

The simple answer you are probably looking for is: no. You can not just take the stock off a rifle to make it a pistol (as is probably started life as a rifle.)

If the barrel is less than 16", then yes.

What are they sitting on? It looks like a bunch of 1x boards glued together and it looks awesome.

The gun looks nice too, btw.

Took 2xs an drilled through them then ran long bolt through, glued in between and tightened it all up.. takes lots of pounding..
