I have the same one as WEBER, bought through MidwayUSA, but withouit the mildots. It is a very nice scope for @ $109.00 or so. Mine had a $20 rebate 2 summers ago, but I would have liked to have purchsed the MilDot first.

The Nikon ProStaff 3-9 is not quite as powerfull but has a super clean and clear glass for around $50 more. This is the best scope I have looked through/shot for around the $150 price range.

I vote for a fixed power. Super sniper 10x or a bushnell 10x. Both of them will track well and the glass is decent. To get a scope in that price range corners have to be cut. I would take that cut in the form of variable power. Get something that doesn't hold a zero or doesn't track well and you won't learn anything. 10x is enough to shoot 1000yards. Not ideal but way better than a 4-16 that scope that doesn't return to zero or doesn't dial a mil precisely.
