ok i am getting a sps tactical 308 and would like to be able to reach out a good ways with it. i will be getting a bell an carlson 2950 stock also but i will never be able to get my wife to buy off on getting a scope that is 4 times the price of the gun itself. do you guys have any good suggestions on scopes for around 600 yard shoots. something that is reliable. i would love to have all the cool bells and wisels but dont need it. just need it to be with in the 200$ range thanks :)

i would like to have something that is high magnification X 50mm. but like i said, i dont absolutely need it.

$200 is pretty limiting. I hate buying anything made in China, but maybe the Weaver Kaspa series???

Mark over at 2A has a used, but like new, Super Sniper 10x for $350; that's what I have on my 700 PSS.

Any chance to stretch it out to $250ish for a Redfield on sale?

I have had the best luck with Redfield, for reasonably priced scopes.

What scope is it and would you be able to hold onto it for a little bit?

The Weaver Kaspa tactical series does look pretty nice! I think you should save a little longer a $400 dollar scope would probably compliment the rifle a little better and give you better results in the long run.

    Nikon Prostaff 4-12x40.
Has a lifetime mfr. warranty and is around $200.
I have a 3-9x40 on my muzzleloader and had one on my slug gun.
Big temperature changes and they never fogged.
Shot the guns probably 100 times each and no effect on zero.
A buddy of mine turned me on to them and told me to check feedback on some of the big sites like Cabelas and Bass Pro.
    Super high ratings everywhere.

    +1 on Nikon.

Check Natchez Shooters Supply, Midway USA, Mid-South Shooters Supply.

I've bought Nikon ProStaff 4-12x40mm for as low as $149.
They are made in the Philippines, but, are super clear and have very good glass.
    The Lifetime Warranty is great.

    I've put Nikon BuckMaster 4.5-18 on my M1A and a BuckMaster 6-24 Mil-Dot on my Remington 700 SPS AAC-SD.

I have a 6-18 buck master on my 700pss and I love it but it doesn't have mil dots etc. If you are ok with foxed power I still think a super sniper is a great choice.

I would look for both at swfa the sample list. I have seen some great deals on there.
