Just an update. I was at Chantilly today played with a G3 with the collapsible stock and I am not a fan.... I thought I would break the damn thing just by pressing it into my shoulder. So it is a retro look for me!

    Cool. :)

BTW, looky here. Even with all the parts I swapped out on mine, it's only 7 imported parts, so 922r ain't an issue.

If'n I can help ya with anythang, gimme a holler.

Will do! It's not a high priority at the moment, but it is my next gun project. ( I still haven't shot the thing yet:sad20:)

Ok so I got the wood stock from hk parts in today and it only kind of fits.:sad20:

These are the 2 stocks side by side. The little rubber pad on the wooden stock is slightly to big for the carrier and gets stuck. I don't know what to do to fix it.

Here is a better shot of the rubber ring compared to the original.

The only other difference I can find in the stocks is here in the end-cap. I don't know if this matters or not. (Original on top wooden on bottom.) Thanks for all the help and expertise!

Use a sanding block to decrease the diameter of that plunger. Just rotate it as you do to keep it even.

Keep sanding and fitting until it slips in easily. Does not take too much.

Can you sand rubber? What kind of grit would I use? Thanks again for the advice!

Can you take your end cap and put it on the wood stock?

They are both pinned in place. I looked online for replacement pins but couldn't find any that looked like they were the right ones.

That's what I did with mine.

Those two screws come out, and the stock pull right off.

Let us know if ya git 'er swapped out. :)

Holy something something derogatory! That wood stock might as well be made out of the same stuff as Mjolnir! It would not budge! The polymer one came off just fine but that wood one is stuck. I think I'm gonna try that sanding idea next. :mad54:
