I swear I have a problem. I still haven't been out to the range with it yet but I have already ordered a bayonet and a sling. I'm also looking at upgrades.

Was talking about his buying stuff for the rifle and haven't shot it yet....;)

Well, I ain't shot mine yet. But when I brought it home it still looked a bit too politically correct fer my comfort.

You'll hafta swap out a lotta shit to do what I did. If ya want, I'll work ya up a parts list of everythang you'll need.

I'll need this also. I hadn't looked at wood furniture but now it needs wood! I did look at the collapsible g3 stocks but I didn't think it would be legal.

Collapsible stocks are not an evil feature. Folding stocks are.

    Well, okay. :)

The gun is mostly CETME, which is why it can be sold here to begin with, so that's the route I personally went with.

First, I swapped the flash hider out fer one o' these.

    http://www.apexgunparts.com/cetme/cetme-flashhider-new.html

I had to run a tap down innit to make it fit. You'll also need a crush washer fer an AR-10. That ugly ass thing the rifle came with absolutely had to go.

    You'll also need these...

    https://www.libertytreecollectors.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=199&idcategory=58

    Then there's the furniture. Here's a set.

    https://www.libertytreecollectors.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=4863&idcategory=58

This won't come with any screws, so you'll need these...

    http://www.apexgunparts.com/cetme/cetme-screw-buttstock-attachment.html

    http://www.apexgunparts.com/cetme/cetme-handguard-screw.html

The stock screw won't tighten up, so you'll need to put some washers on it. You'll hafta grind the sides of those washers down so they'll fit down in the stock.

Dependin' on how far ya wanna take it, I also put on these, since C308's come with HK-style grip frames. I'm kind of a bullheaded purist of sorts.:innocent0

I had this ceracoated at Duffy's with red letters before I installed it. The trigger pack will fit, but it will also require a new safety switch as well.

Do you know if an HK trigger pack will fit in that Cetme grip frame. I think it looks a lot better than the one that came with the C308, but I am going to update to a HK trigger pack.

I spent some time on the range with a 527. Very nice little rifle but to be honest I got kind of bored with it pretty quick. It's certainly going to be more accurate than a C308 but I really think 7.62x39 is not the right caliber to be too worried about accuracy with. If it were me I would get the C308 while you can. Seems like it would be a lot more fun to me and I also think semiauto rifles are going to start to get scarce and expensive again as the specter of gun control raises it's head as the election approaches.
