Considering a 410 Shotgun for Turkey

I believe I am going to get a 410 for rabbit hunting after seeing this!

The recoil from that gun with the turkey loads was similar to shooting a 9mm carbine. It was that gentle.

It's about half the weight of my Mossberg 835 Ulti-mag with far less recoil.

Thanks again. It was probably one of our easiest turkey hunts ever. Too easy almost, but I'll take that, every now and again.

Maybe 25-30 yards. The big guy picked me up as he came clear of the underbrush that hid me, so I popped him. I was hoping they would keep moving up the wood edge towards my buddy. Once I shot, one of the other two ran up the field edge towards my buddy, who was able to dump him. The decoys we placed up hill and close to the wood edge kept them hugging the field edge where we were waiting. I placed both decoys on their bellies instead of their 'legs'. These turkey do not like static standing decoys. Put them on their bellies and they are fine.

I thought it was decreed that successfully using a 410 on turkey was unpossible. Then you just go out and do it anyway. Pat yourself on the back; well deserved.
