This was an online class, so I never saw the professor or any of the other students in person. On top of that, I could not find information about the professor to get a better understanding of him/her.

No. There's only an email address in the syllabus, which is how the professor and I have been using to make contact. There's nothing in the class page about him/her like an introduction page about the professor or anything like that.

The professor has been wanting to get a permit from what I've been told, and even said that one of my assignments was a "sign". Call me crazy, but it's true.
