I got an email from PSA today that my upper should be test fired and shipped soon!

Also got around to weighing my lower. If the 4.5lb weight listed for my upper is correct, my complete 20 inch AR should weigh under 7 pounds.

I'm running A2s for now, until I decide if I want the KAC M5 RAS or if I just want to MOE it.

The MOE is cool cuz you can add rails as needed for lights, lazers, and forward grips or whatever else you wanna hang off the thing... But I got a 20" gun (M16A4 clone) with the M5 RAS on it and it's just a little too heavy with the rail on there!

Here it is before I added the ACOG...

    Upper received!

I had Garrett look it over, and the PSA upper looks good to go. The barrel is FN commercial manufacture, has M4 feedramps, and looks pretty good with a borrowed Aimpoint.

My only complaint is the slightly cheesy looking handguards. That should be quickly rectified.

Looks like good quality... you're gonna like that Spikes buffer, nice and smooth.

I hope I guessed the right buffer weight to use. The Canadians apparently use H3 buffers with their rifle length/carbine stock C7A2. The T2 is a fair amount lighter, so we'll see how this runs. It really depends on what spec PSA used for their gas port.

If you don't like it, I got a ST-T3 in my bin o' parts, I'm back to the ST-T2 currently.
