Yes, you are fine.

Some folks are getting numbers, others aren't.

If something is wrong, you will get a phone call or an email to correct a deficiency.

Thanks for the insight. My hope of having my permit in hand by 12 August is starting to fade. I'm heading out of town for a bit on the 13th and was hoping to take my trusty flintlock.

The app will show your "acceptance" date (7/19/2022) until your NICS is added. Then the date will change. For example mine was 7/15 until NICS then changed to 8/1. Your NICS should be around 8/5 or 8/6.

Now what are the chances i have my permit in hand by Thursday to go get my PA permit Friday?

PA is a little different than our crazy process in Maryland. At least for Franklyn County PA.
The cost of the permit is $20 for 5 years. First step is complete their application and provide the documents they need with your application. You can either drop it off or mail it with a $5 payment. Once approved they will send you a card asking you to come to their court house in Chambersburg to finalize your permit. I also believe you have to bring cash or check and don't think you need an appointment. Other counties in PA may have different processes.
