This one is usually pretty beat. Save your time/money for Chantilly or one of the bigger shows. I went to this one once and it was not worth it.

I went to the first show in Annapolis in a number of years and there were hardly any guns at all. Hopefully it has improved. Years ago Frank of Bay Country Guns in Crownsville (now defunct) sponsored this event and at that time it was a pretty decent show...so it definitely has potential.

Remember that Appalachian Promotions has raised their admission slightly, with the additional money going to fight SB281.

Annapolis isn't a great show, but it's still a show, and supporting it helps up and down the line.

With Oct. 1 just around the corner, this show will be busy. I'll be there with two new ARs to sell-- a Colt LE6920 and Bushmaster. Buyers guaranteed to have them 8 days after the show...

I'll probably stop in at this one because it's close but drop some bigger money the following week at Howard County

I was one of Frank's regular customers way back when.

Yeah, I know the Annapolis show isn't one of the better ones but thought it worth noting anyhoos.

Yeah, I was a customer of Frank's as well although primarily ammo and reloading powder. Interestingly enough, I've run into him. He is selling ammo left over from his old business , I presume, at the flea market near AA County Co-op in Glen Burnie.

Point taken. My point is this: I don't know of any reason why it couldn't be a decent show again. The one time I went, however, there were only a few tables with guns and with one exception , there were only a couple guns at those tables. The exception even had only about a dozen guns or so.

No kidding? Thanks for that info - I'll have to pop by sometime and give my regards. I also wonder how Larry's doing nowadays.

Great thing about social media is now someone can go in and post on here either 'this show rocks' or 'this show is lame' before I spend any $ on entrance fees. ;)

I made the mistake of going to the Annapolis show not once but twice. There are more tables dedicated to WWII memorabilia and knives than there are guns. The tables that do have guns have people taking up the entire length of the table and 1-2 people deep.

Larry was supposed to move out west but changed his mind and stayed here. I understand that he is working at Scott's gunsmithing now.

Too bad Frank Yurka ran around on his old lady and lost the store. Bay Country guns always had reasonable prices on ammo and components and you could dicker on guns.

I have only gone to this show twice, and it's close. This was only because Shooter's Discount was there. I walked in, went directly to Lou's table, bought one of his 'specials' and then grabbed a cup of coffee, walked around the room and left. In and out in an hour and a half.

I hope to shoot the AR match at AAFG on Saturday, hope some of you can make it. Only about 6-8 miles away. Then hit the show on later or on Sunday.
