SOP= Standard Operating Procedure
SO = Safety Officer, ( I saw "RSO", but USPSA call them SO's
MD = Match Director
The correct one for SOP is standing operating procedure. It refers to "standing orders" for certain contingencies.
I don't think it's that cut and dry. For NRA Range Officer you work up a Standard Operation Procedure, which is the lay out for all operations needed to run the range. I suspect your "SOP" comes from the military. Looks like both are correct in there own right.
How about if just make it both.
