Some have asked who should we be calling that may be on the fence regarding their positions on S.B. 281/H.B. 294.

I have emailed and faxed them. I believe they are from Baltimore City and will probably vote the way their counterparts in the Senate voted.

I don't know about the other two, but there's no way Jill Carter is on the fence.

Frank Conaway's dad is an anti, but carries concealed. He pulled a gun on a blogger not to long ago.

I would use a gentle touch with Anderson. His perspective is that the Bill is basically a solution to a non-existent problem, and that the real problem is handguns in the city. I would (and have) pointed out that the money used to set up this massive, duplicative registration scheme could be used to attack the root causes of violence and provide job training, counseling, etc.

YMMV, but not everyone responds to the same arguments the same way.
