It's MUCH cheaper if you already have things in your cart you need from Midway, like other parts, cleaners, reloading parts, paint/coatings.

Shipping went down for me after I added some rattle-can paint.

Saw this in the huffington post awhile ago, this site polls all online retailers of ammo. Once it finds a new product it refreshes your page giving you live tracking. Got a brick from midway for $33 but you have to be quick as sites are selling out within mins.

OOps, I just looked at the invoice, and it was because I didn't meet the "order minimum" by less than the fee for being a "small order."

The more you order from Midway, the lower in proportion the shipping costs are. Even if you're ordering multiple items that can't be packed in the same package.

Not sure if anyone has posted this elsewhere (sorry if this is a repeat of someone else's post), but if you haven't tried it yet, I've been been having some pretty good luck using www.gunbot.net. You can search for most popular calibers (.223, 7.62X39, .22, 9mm, etc.) and it will spider a large number of ammo dealers on the net. It then shows you what is in stock and gives you a price comparison. Very simple interface but it works great. I picked up several hundred rounds of AK and some .30 carbine this week for what was a very reasonable price.
